dc.descriptionEn el contexto de la modernización teatral argentina de principios del siglo XX, el drama Próspera, de David Peña, pone en práctica la poética del drama moderno o drama realista de tesis. En el presente artículo analizamos cómo Peña construye la tesis de su drama a través de procedimientos constructivos relevantes: la historia, los personajes-delegados, el título, el metatexto. Para ello caracterizamos teóricamente la noción de tesis en el drama moderno.
dc.description.abstractWithin the context of the modernization of Argentine theater in the early 20th century, the play Próspera by David Peña exemplifies the poetics of modern drama, specifically, the realist drama of ideas (or thesis drama). This article analyzes how Peña constructs the play’s thesis through key structural elements: the plot, surrogate characters, the title, and the metatext. To this end, we provide a theoretical characterization of the concept of the “thesis” in modern drama.
